LIZ JEPSEN

Liz Jepsen, a graduate of the Education program at Campus St. Jean at the University of Alberta, was born in Gatineau, Quebec and moved to St. Albert, Alberta where she played through the St. Albert youth soccer system as well as the Alberta Soccer Provincial Program. Coach Jepsen went on to play for the University of Alberta for four years earning a CIS Gold and Silver medal.

Coach Jepsen joined the UAlberta coaching staff as an assistant in 2001 and remained on staff until the fall of 2004 when she left during the final months of pregnancy of her second child. In 2005, Coach Jepsen became the Interim Head Coach and moved to Head Coach in 2006. Over her coaching years at the University of Alberta, the Pandas have captured a CIS Gold Medal (2001), Silver (2002), Bronze (2013), CIS 5th place finish (2011 & 2005), CWUAA Play-off Gold (2013), CWUAA Play-off Silver (2011), CWUAA Play-off Bronze (2011, 2010, & 2006), CWUAA Division Champs (2014) CWUAA League Gold (2010 & 2001), and CWUAA League Silver (2013).

Coach Jepsen has a strong commitment to coaching across all levels. She has acted as a Head Coach in the yourh cub soccer from 2006 - 2016, has coached in the ASA Provincial Program as an Assistant Coach (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012) and the CIS University National Team at the World Universiade (FISU) as Head Coach (2013) and Assistant Coach (2009).

Prior to joining UAlberta full time, Coach Jepsen was a Co-Athletic Director, and a French IB, French Immersion, French as a Second Language, and Physical Education Teacher in St. Albert where she contributed to the coaching environment in Senior Women’s basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
