Courtney Wald, a graduate of the Education program at the University of Alberta, is an Edmonton native. Coach Wald began her post-secondary play with Grant Mac Ewan where she acted as captain. She transferred to the Unviersity of Alberta in her third year (2010) and played both as acenter back and center mid. During her time with the team, the Pandas earned aCanada West League Title (2010), CWUAA Play-off Bronze (2010), and Silver (2011) and a CIS 5th place finish (2011).

After graduating, Coach Wald moved to Grande Prairie to teach and act as an assistant coach at Grande Prairie College. She brings back new found experiences and knowledge gained from coaching in a new environment, as well energy and enthusiasm towards coaching and developing athletes!

In addition to her on-field coaching role, Coach Wald has been the lead in weekly opitional study sessions with the goal to help the Junior Pandas succed in their current academic courses be it curriculum specific or with best practices across topics such as (but not limited to) how to study, to organise your schedule and to be a successful exam writer.
