2016 - 17 Junior Pandas Fall/Winter Prospects Camp

The University of Alberta Junior Pandas Soccer Program is pleased to host the following Identification Sessions for the advanced female soccer player in Grades 10 to 12 as of September 2016 to profile themselves for consideration for the Fall / Winter Junior Pandas Soccer Program. The Prospects Camp is subject to suitable registration and safe weather conditions.Sessions will take place at various University of Alberta & Edmonton Sport Facilities.

Registration Process:

1.Complete theProspective Student-Athlete Form to provide your soccer profile

*please note: not required if you have submitted a form in the past 12 months or have been a member of the Junior Pandas in 2015/2016.

2.Submit an application for the Junior Pandas Prospects Camp

3. All applications will be reviewed and participants will be selected based on their background in the sport, their potential to compete at thepost-secondarylevel and their commitment to attending all the sessions. Athletes able to attend all sessions will receive first priority for acceptance.

Registration will be confirmed via email within 2-3 business days of submission of the above two items at which time players will receive an informed consent form. In order to finalize your registration, players will be directed to complete the emailed Informed Consent Form and email to JRPSOC Manager, Christa Cruthers:jrpsoc@gmail.com.

* Cost: Free

* The Prospects Camp will take a maximum of 40 participants.

Detailed Information:

Session 1: Junior Pandas Soccer - what is it all about?

The objective of this session is to provide information on the Junior Pandas Soccer Program so that players and parents alike can better understand Y3 of the Junior Pandas Program as well as the Prospects Camp Process.

Session 2: Athlete Quantitative Testing

Each player will run through a battery of current University of Alberta Pandas Soccer Physical Tests. Please arrive dressed and ready to go 15-minutes prior to start timewith indoor training kit.

* Kit: indoor training - running shoes & indoor training kit

Various Game PlayScenarios:

Players will be placed in teams and play games over the indicated timeslots above. Please ensure that you are ready to go 15-minutes to start time prior for warm-up. Coaches will warm-up the athletes.

* Kit: outdoor soccer boots, white and dark training shirt, dark shorts, white and dark socks.
